Kathy McKenna

Interim Executive Director

Kathy is a 1993 graduate of Marshall University with a BBA Degree in Finance. She has worked for the GHPRD since 1992. In addition to serving as the Interim Executive Director of GHPRD, Kathy serves in the capacity of Human Resources Director and Finance Director for the Park District and is involved in all employee relations, insurance, handles all things financial and many other aspects of the Park District Management and Administration.

Mary Ann Haldeman

Maintenance Superintendent

Mary Ann Haldeman is the GHPRD’S Maintenance Superintendent and has worked her way up through the ranks since joining the team in 1996 as an Activities Coordinator. Mary Ann schedules and coordinates the daily work tasks for the entire Parks Maintenance Division as they groom over 1500 acres of property at fourteen Parks and four Cemeteries. She is a Marshall University graduate with a B.S. Degree in Parks & Leisure Services.

Scott Miller

Maintenance Supervisor

Scott Miller has been with the GHPRD since 1988. He enjoys the outdoors and serving the public and their needs. Through his work, Scott hopes to enable all Park Patrons to have a memorable and enjoyable experience every time they visit our Parks.

Eldora McCoy

Cemeteries Administrative Manager

Eldora McCoy has been employed by the GHPRD since 1993. She is responsible for all business including sales, burials, record keeping and maintenance operations at Spring Hill, Highland, Guyandotte and Pat’s Branch Cemeteries.

Lauren Carte 

Recreation Superintendent

Lauren is a 2014 graduate of Marshall University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Natural Resource and Recreation Management. Lauren assists with recreational programs at the GHPRD and writes grants applications to secure additional project funding. Lauren is very passionate about the field of Parks and Recreation and is committed to helping provide children everywhere with the resources they need to get out and play! In her spare time Lauren can be found obsessing over her idol Amy Poehler or tending to her two lovable dachshunds Riley and Layla and rescue cat Boo Boo Kitty.

Joan Lovejoy

Office Manager

Joan has been with the GHPRD since 1998. She handles all the compliance requirements of the organization and is Secretary to the Board of Park Commissioners. Joan records all the Minutes of Board Meetings and prepares all of the necessary meeting packages of pertinent information and handles the administration of the Park District’s Drug-Free Workplace Program. She is involved in almost everything that happens at the GHPRD and is the right hand to the Executive Director.

Anna Browning

Office Administrative Assistant

Anna Browning is a graduate of Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration.  Anna began working with the GHPRD in July 2018.  Anna wears many hats in her role as the GHPRD’s Office Assistant. She is a Reservation Specialist, the Moderator for the GHPRD website, and the Coordinator for GHPRD's Adult Softball League. Anna provides Administrative Support for her coworkers at the GHPRD office and happily provides additional support in decorating and event set-up for many of GHPRD's Recreational Events and Activities.
