Nestled along the banks of the Ohio River, McClelland Park, located on 27th Street, is a neighborhood park named after retired Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District Director/Secretary Jim McClelland, who served this community for 31 years. The McClelland Park playground, modeled after a turn of the century stern-wheeler boat, features creative play possibility with several exciting features including the boat's pilot house controls. Curious explorers can dig and sift through sand in search of fossils that could be found on the river bottom. McClelland Park also features a basketball court, two tennis courts and a Little Free Library Box. Bring your family to enjoy a picnic under the gazebo or along the river, or just enjoy the walking path and scenery!
