Let Freedom Sing
The
Thunder Tones and the Greater Huntington Park and Recreation
District present "LET FREEDOM SING", Thursday, September 11,
2008, Patriots Day, at 7:00pm at the Ritter Park Amphitheater.
In honor of First Responders.
Few would deny that September 11, 2001 was one of the most
tragic days in our country's history.
That day has made us all realize the importance of the men and
women who are referred to as our "first responders." this
includes our law enforcement, fire departments, EMS personnel,
reserve military, and national guard.
While many take this day to memorialize those who died, others
honor those who responded so valiantly, and yet others take this
opportunity to celebrate the resilience, diversity and strength
of the American Spirit.
The music presented here today does all of that, and is our way
of saying "Thank You" to those who protect and serve.
You are invited and encouraged to respond to a celebration of
"First Responders" by attending and being a part of "Let Freedom
Sing".
Be a part of letting those who act quickly to address our local,
state, national, and sometimes international emergency needs
know that we appreciate their efforts.
All you need to do is relax in the beauty of the Ritter Park
Amphitheater and enjoy the sounds of four-part harmony provided
by tri-stators:
RIVER MAGIC, OLD SPICE, THE SINGING
KERNELS, THE TREBLEMAKERS, MULLIGAN STEW and
THE THUNDER TONES.
At 6:00pm, prior to the show, First Responder vehicles and
exhibit booths will be on display in the parking lot in front of
the amphitheater.
The program starts at 7:00pm.
The price is right - it's family style entertainment for FREE.
Gate opens at 6:00pm. Picnic baskets and lawn chairs are
welcome. Refreshments will be available at the snack bar.
Contributions at the gate are also welcome.
